Who We Are
Trippin' The Stone is a Boston-based alternative rock band that formed in January 2013. The band recorded their first (self-titled) album in 2015 and released it on SoundCloud to critical acclaim. Following the release, the band played many shows in support of the album and almost immediately began work on new music.
The band entered the studio again in November 2020 to record their second album, resulting in the LP "Aberration" and the EP "Besides."
The music of Trippin' The Stone has been described in many ways - from progressive metal to alternative rock to funky jams. The instrumentals blend technicality with groove, focusing on dynamic speeds and odd time signatures. And the vocals can be smooth one moment, harsh and heavy the next. It's all a part of the experience that is Trippin' The Stone.
